With 270 ski lifts and cable cars, the Ski amadé ski alliance is one of the largest winter sports areas in Europe. It comprises a total of 25 resorts, all of which are located in the Austrian federal states of Salzburg and Styria.
Ski amadé and its partner regions manage a total of about 760 kilometres of slopes (356 runs), 90% of which (684 km) are covered by artificial snow. For this purpose, 270 lifts and cable cars (47 cable cars, 90 chair lifts, 81 drag lifts, 52 practice lifts) are available, with a total transport capacity of 365,000 persons/hour.
In winter, the valley is transformed into a white and broad-ranging winter sports destination that lives up to every expectation. The highest ski region in all of the Ski amadé alliance enthralls with wide pistes, challenging freeride routes and family-friendly runs. In total, the valley boasts four ski areas with over 200 piste kilometers. Modern lifts carry guests of all Gastein communities from the center of town to over 1000 vertical meters of pure skiing enjoyment. Sportgastein promises a unique nature experience, where you are able to enjoy skiing against the backdrop of the National Park, while this area is also a natural-snow paradise for freeriders.
