From our balconies you look out over the side-valley toward the Hohe Tauern. Depending on the room, the window faces the Stubnerkogel, the stream below, meadows or the old mill in front of the national park.

Below us the belle-époque spa town drops down its gorge, with the waterfall running white through the middle of it. Everything the valley is known for is within a few minutes' drive.
The Stubnerkogel cable car is about 4 km from our door, around 10 minutes by car.
Doubles, twins and family rooms
Five room types, from attic double rooms, twin rooms and a double with a balcony to bigger Family rooms and Superior Family rooms with a second room for the children. The Family room and the Superior Family room have a pull-out bed in addition to their regular beds.

Two single beds set apart under the same warm wood, with a window onto a steep mountain meadow, for anyone who sleeps better alone.

Two rooms in one: a double with a balcony and an additional room alongside it, so five of you can stay with a door in between.

The quietest rooms in the house, up under the roof: no balcony and a smaller window facing the hillside and the meadow. Everything else is exactly as in the rest of the house.

Dinner is served at your table in our own wood-panelled Stube, the room the house has gathered in since 1975 and the reason most evenings here run longer than planned.
Breakfast is a rich buffet every morning and is included in every stay; half-board adds dinner in the Stube to it when you book.

Up the side-valley from Bad Gastein, where the last houses give way to forest: a yellow facade, red geraniums on the balconies, a stone wall along the road and the mountain stream running past the front of the house.
Bad Gastein railway station is 4 km below us, about 10 minutes by car.
