What you see from the window depends on the room: the Stubnerkogel, the mountain stream in front of the house, the meadows, or the old mill standing in front of the Hohe Tauern National Park. What every room shares is the warm wood and a stay that includes the rich buffet breakfast, the Gastein Card and the Ortstaxe.

Double room with balcony

Four of our nineteen rooms are this one: a double bed under warm wood, a desk by the window, and a private balcony above the Kötschachtal. Depending on which of the four you get, the balcony looks onto the Stubnerkogel, the mountain stream in front of the house, or the old mill below the national park.

Family room with balcony

Eight of our nineteen rooms are family rooms with a balcony, the clearest sign of who this house is for. Beds for three plus an additional pull-out bed, ideal for a family of four, with four hiking trails starting at the door and, in winter, a short walk to the ski bus stop.

Twin room, separate beds

Three rooms are laid out this way: two proper single beds, properly apart, with a walk-in shower of its own and a window onto a steep mountain meadow. Whoever you travel with, nobody has to share a bed.

Superior Family room

Our largest room (there are only two of them) has a double bed with the balcony door beside it, plus an additional room of its own, so a family of five can spread out instead of squeezing in. The children sleep behind their own door.

Attic double room without balcony

Two of these sit up under the roof: no balcony door, and a smaller window onto the hillside and the meadow, with an en-suite shower of their own. Everything else is exactly as it is in the rest of the house.

House practicalities

Dogs
A dog can come by individual arrangement with the owner, at €19 per night. Ask us before you book.
Cot
A cot can be set up for a fee; the price is on request. The pull-out beds in the Family and Superior Family rooms are part of the room itself.
Children's prices
Prices for children depend on their age and are already worked into the online booking.
Ski room
Ski equipment can be left in the ski room instead of carried up to the room.
Parking
Parking at the house is free of charge.
Stairs
There is no lift in the house; the rooms are reached by stairs. The two attic rooms sit highest of all.
